A song about someone who promised to be there when you fell and never showed up. It sits with the unanswered questions, then looks at how far you've grown and how you made it without them.
You Never Wanted lyrics
I'm wondering how to find you now Wondering why you're not around Questions left unanswered on me Why did you leave? You always wanted to take the time to see The man I'd become but then you'd leave You said you'd be there when I'd fall I'd never question why you're not around You never wanted to take the time to see The man I've become and then you'd leave You said you'd be there when I'd fall Couldn't count on you to be there at all I found that I was far too late To save you from your prison gates Take one look to see how I've grown I made it on my own You always wanted to take the time to see The man I'd become but then you'd leave You said you'd be there when I'd fall I'd never question why you're not around You never wanted to take the time to see The man I've become and then you'd leave You said you'd be there when I'd fall Couldn't count on you to be there at all You always wanted to take the time to see The man I'd become but then you'd leave You said you'd be there when I'd fall I'd never question why you're not around You never wanted to take the time to see The man I've become and then you'd leave You said you'd be there when I'd fall Couldn't count on you to be there at all
